Marlow is without a doubt one of the most beautiful towns in Buckinghamshire and is in the unique position of spanning two counties as its famed suspension bridge which spans the Thames joins it with Berkshire. 

Sat on the River Thames between Windsor and Henley and sitting firmly within the Chiltern Hills, which is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there is so much to enjoy outdoors. It has a lively town centre which has many listed buildings and an array of shops, restaurants, wine bars and pubs which all add to its charm.


Marlow as long been famed as a river crossing and inland port, but in the late 18th and 19th century it became famous as a riverside resort attracting many famous people


Today many people enjoy Marlow for its fashionable town and proximity to the beautiful outdoors and easy commuter links.

Commute

Marlow is easily accessible from London, Oxford and the Midlands with the M40  and M4 close at hand giving easy access to the M25 and Heathrow. There is a train station in Marlow that is served by the First Great Western branch line that reaches London in just over an hour.


 

Schools

There are an abundance of school options from primary to secondary including Spinfields School, Danesfield, Holy Trinity and Great Marlow School.  Sir William Borlase’s is well renowned as one of the best co-educational grammar schools.

Eating Out

The options in Marlow are second to none with famous options of celebrity chef Tom Kerridges in the Hand and Flowers (2 Michelin Stars) and the relaxed, unfussy Coach. There are lots of cute cafes and wine bars as well as many of the national chains and even The Ivy Garden, but the locals say you don’t get better than the Vanilla Pod for service and attention to detail.


 

Leisure

For those looking at leisure then Marlow has everything you could want, there is 23 acres in Higginson Park sat on the edge of the river.  With walks, hiring boats, skate park, Mini golf and a cricket field among many of the options.


Being sat on the river there is an abundance of options on the water from sailing schools, rowing clubs, canoeing clubs and ultimately the annual Marlow Regatta which is one of the town’s highlights


Marlow loves a party and they host lots of fabulous events throughout the year including celebrity Chef Tom Kerridge’s ‘Pub in the Park’ a fantastic music and food festival as well as the Rock Bottom family concert, the Swan Upping, Marlow Carnival and finally ending the year with the annual Santa Fun Run for charity.
